AT in Employment
To achieve its mission of preparing Arkansans with disabilities to work and lead productive and independent lives, Arkansas Rehabilitation Services (ARS) provides a variety of training and career preparation programs. Services include career and technical education and training, transition from school to work or postsecondary education, on-the-job training, and ancillary support services that clients may need for successful employment.
The Job Accommodation Network (JAN) is the leading source of free, expert, and confidential guidance on workplace accommodations and disability employment issues. Working toward practical solutions that benefit both employer and employee, JAN helps people with disabilities enhance their employ-ability, and shows employers how to capitalize on the value and talent that people with disabilities add to the workplace. JAN is supported by the US Department of Labor.
Project AWIN services are designed to help Arkansas residents with disabilities understand and use the work incentives provided by the Social Security Administration.
